This presentation provides a focused overview of Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Dental Hygiene Standard 1 emphasizing how program goals set the foundation for ongoing program assessment and commission compliance.
Special attention is given to distance education and off-campus instructional sites, including CODA definitions, oversight expectations, and documentation requirements.
The presentation will also review CODA program change reporting, highlighting when notifications or formal submissions are required, common compliance pitfalls, and best practices for maintaining accreditation during program modifications.
